By reclaiming the word "borders" and turning it into a symbol of possibility and opportunity, we hope to underscore the power of immigration. (Im)migration is more than just movement from one place to another, it is about thriving beyond stigmas and countless hardships, it is about beauty and resilience. Beyond Borders raises awareness on Duke's campus and in the Durham community about the humanitarian and human rights issues implicated in human (im)migration across national borders.
